Red Cross CNA Class

Red Cross CNA Class training is an excellent and viable way to attain your CNA certification through using the American Red Cross. In case you didn’t know, The American Red Cross is an organization that provides emergency assistance and disaster relief in the United States. They also support various educational programs. The CNA program is available in a few states now, and follows the Certified Nursing Assistant curriculum. The course hours will be different in each state because of the different clinical requirements in each particular state.

For the Nurse Assistant Training course student, completion successfully of a course requires that you have fully participated in the classroom and skill sessions, and also have been successful in your evaluations of skill and knowledge. Because of the nature of this program you can often expect to be put under strenuous circumstances to see how you will react in hectic times. If you have any disabilities or for some reason are prevented from taking part in particular skill assessments, you should contact your doctor or health care provider before beginning this school course. You can even get with your local Red Cross chapter to discuss it.

Skill examinations usually have two different parts to them. There is a written test and a hands on skills test. The whole test can be finished in a single day and usually takes around 5 to 6 hours. The student needs to successfully pass the skill exam before they are even eligible to move on to the written test. The applicant is notified of their results within the day of testing and will receieve their state approved Certified Nurse Assistant certification not long after. (CNA)

To be eligible to receive a Red Cross CNA you must:

• Be at Least 18 Years old
• Have a clean criminal record for at least 7 years
• Must Not have any diseases
• Must not be pregnant

When you have been accepted into the program, Students must:

• Show up to class on time
• Be there for all classes. You can miss 6 hours but you must make them all up.
• Pass final exam with 80% or higher

Please remember that while these requirements may seem extreme it is for the better of the general public! Also note that you are in charge of your own transportation. Make sure you dress comfortable becauses often times there will be a lot of quick moving for drills and tests. I.E. getting on your knees quick for CPR etc.

Taking the course with the Red Cross CNA class is an excellent choice because often times they will encourage people who set out to be nursing assistants to persist in becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) so they can more focus on primary responsibilities.
